As is the Hindu custom, the photo is garlanded with fresh flowers; this sparse garland is surely a reflection of the family's desperate financial situation. Geeta is seated on the family's one single bed, while her baby sister Deepika sleeps in the hammock-crib behind. Geeta is not HIV+, but her mother fears that the baby might be.
